AT REN'S PRIVATE YOGA SHALA:
The Gentle Yoga class welcomes adults over age 17 years, new to Yoga, active seniors, and those in need of restorative healing. This Yoga class is Level 1-2, gentle introduction to Yoga principles and the Yoga Korunta with the emphasis on breath, relaxation for preparation of meditation and the traditional Hatha Yoga. Also included is the introduction to the philosophies of Jnana, Kundalini 101, Kriya, Bhakti, and Hatha Yogas. This seven-part practice incorporates: 1. Breath 2. Lesson of the Day 3. Chakra 4. Astrological Affects 5. Element & Sacred Geometry 6. Asana (Pose) 7. Mantra (Word). This class ends with Yoga Nidra Meditation.
Level 1-2 Integral Hatha Yoga Class
TUESDAYS: Arrive by 9:45am - Class begins approx. at 10am - 11:45am or 12noon (90 Min. or More)
AT REN'S PRIVATE YOGA SHALA:
Taught in the tradition of Swami Satchidananda, gentle to intermediate. A complete approach to yoga that includes postures and breath work with emphasis on alignment and technique, concentration and relaxation as a preparation for meditation. Integral Hatha Yoga is one of the many Yogas within the Yoga Korunta. Also a seven-part practice, there are no less than three (3) SuryanMaskar (Sun Salutations) and concludes with Yoga Nidra Meditation. This class is a Pratapana, a preparation for the student to advance into Raja Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga.
Level 2-3 Raja Vinyasa / Krama Vinyasa / Astanga Yoga Master Class
THURSDAYS: Arrive by 9:45am. Class begins at approx.10:AM to 11:45am (90 Min. to 2 hrs.)

Raja Vinyasa Yoga
- Raja, aka the "royal" path of Yoga, Yoga mental mastery, also known as "Astanga Prep", an Intermediate practice. Within the practice, Ayruvedic principles are introduced and experienced: The current Sun and Moon cycle are the Lesson of the day along with the coinciding Chakras, Sacred Geometry, the Tattva-Lokas (the dimensions). The class begins with Pranayama meditation and ends with Yoga Nidra, meditation and includes 4 SuranMaskar with vinyasa (flow) and the current Sun and Moon cycle, standing and floor postures.
Krama Vinyasa
- Also known as "Astanga-Prep" that includes more Ayruvedic principles: The current Sun and Moon cycle, the coinciding Chakras, Sacred Geometry, the Tattva-Lokas (the dimensions) and Mantra (internalized or externalized). Class begins with Pranayama meditation and ends with Yoga Nidra, meditation. There are 6 SuranMaskar, vinyasa (flow), and the current Sun and Moon cycle, 10 standing postures and limited floor postures. Students are taught the "how to and why" recognition of themselves and others' cosmic characteristics, for the purpose of cleansing, healing and transformation. This practice is a pretpana, preparation for Astanga Yoga.
Astanga Yoga
- Also known as Yoga Chikitsa or "primary series" and Ayruvedic principles: The current Sun and Moon cycle, the coinciding Chakras, Sacred Geometry, the Tattva-Lokas (the dimensions) and Mantras (internalized or externalized). Class begins with Pranayama medition and ends with Yoga Nidra, meditation. There are 6 SuranMaskar, vinyasa (flow), and the current Sun and Moon cycle, 10 standing postures and 18 seated or floor postures. Students are taught in-depth about the 8 limbs of Yoga and when, how and why to do a Fire practice as well as the difference between all elements: Water, Air and Earth yoga practices and more.
Please Note: Level 2-3 Master Class includes the original "ardha pretapana asanas" (preparatory postures that were removed by Pattabhi Jois) as well as vital mudras, (Yogic seals) along with Mantras (opening invocation, chant).
